My AD said
" The normal process is to consider which model you would like and then think about how you would like the dial changed to make it unique. There are some pieces that Patek would not consider, such as Basel 2016 or 2017 launches, and also if something has been requested before and been declined by Geneva (such as 5180G on leather strap) Patek (UK) will be able to tell us so that we do not request that piece." |

Then I would stay away from the ornate engraved cases and perpetual calendar chronos. ***5170 with Special Dial or 5196P with Rose Colored Dial would both be killer***

Miles, who is a member of Watchprosite has the salmon coloured dial. IMO, it's absolutely gorgeous http://www.watchprosite.com/patek-ph...25501.8578806/

Please get a minute repeater, you will be my hero, it's my grail complication watch, any Patek or Voutilainen or AP will do, I find the complication just amazing, if I could I would get the one I suggested you, or the 5316P, PC, tourb, MP, moon phase, looks just freakin awesome and perfect, oh yeah and dial is enamel, I would get it in blue enamel. Or else a G or P 5711 with salmon dial, in any case you will be the Patek sub forum hero, even if not minute repeater and just the 1/1 5711

The fact that it's case is 36mm is why several people may have passed on it and the Salmon color isn't for everyone. Karl has told me if it was a 38mm watch it would be on his wrist. I sound like a broken record but it was so nice of him to pass along my info to the AD and help make it happen. (I certainly owe him a Patek USB stick)

The blue dial looks like the 5004P also LE. I have read it came with an interchangeable leather strap and platinum bracelet. That may be something to consider when you order your custom watch - an interchangeable strap and bracelet. IMO both a perpetual calendar chrono (e.g. 5270) and a perpetual calendar split-second chrono (e.g. 5204) are good base references to add a customized dial. |

Brian that is a real shame, apart from the 5207P with the Salmon dial, the 5016 was my next favourite MR.

Hi Arnaud and Tony:
It is a quite upset story. Just don't like to talk it again. I just know I can't use my 5016P for around two years is not right and it doesn't matter what reason that PP had. It is unacceptable and inconvenient. Now I am happy with simple models. |

Brian, fully appreciate your candour, I am pleased to read that you are are happy with the pieces that you have got.
Regarding, which piece looks best, I have to go with the original piece, followed by numerals.
