Another would you-but with a twist
Okay so 5711 values are still headed north but so is the 5960p. Would you trade a blue dial 5711 and a 5146 to get a 5960p? A perfect meld, no?

I love the 5960 over the other two but would not trade 2 Patek's for one. Nope.

Did you say 5960P values are also heading North? That reference unfortunately does not move so IMO keep 5711 and the AC

Tough call...I really like the 5711 and 5960p, never really liked the 5146. I guess it depends on what else is in the collection

I love the original 5960P.
But in this case, I would not do the trade. You have two great piece which, imo, compliment each other nicely.

I would probably do it. I think the 5960P is an iconic piece and sometimes I wish i would have gotten the P instead of the steel version.

Trade for 5960P black dial but you would need to add quite a bit of cash.

When you consider a 5960P, you have to consider the 5905P as well. Just be aware that an earlier version 5960P gray dial may be over 10 years old.
Whether you decide to get the 5960P will depend on the price you are being offered for a 5960P and the dial color. Although the blue and black dial 5960P's were produced for a short time, they were replaced by the blue and black dial 5905Ps. Many people seem to like the more modern dial of the 5905P. If you get the watch that you like, rather than speculating on future valuation of a watch, you will likely enjoy the watch a lot more. |

This year I think there were a couple of 5960P at auction that netted between $48-50k. Sadly the 5146G has a resale softer than butter and probably less than $ 25k with the 5711 probably the same.

Which 5960p? Grey, blue or black? Maybe for the last 2 no for the first one, depends what else you have, but if you had only these 2 I would say no, if you have other sport watches, ROO or Aquanaut, then why not
