Authentication on Sub - Need some advice

Hello guys,

Newbie on this forum and I'm looking for some advice on a sub-date I encountered recently.

I am living in Belgium and saw a Rolex Submariner date coming online on a website/app mainly used to sell clothes, but also luxury items from time to time. The person selling it live in Italy.
I started a conversation asking some details and photos of the watch. It looks like it's too good to be true, and surely that's what is having me to be very very sceptic on the matter.

I'm still pretty new in the watch/Rolex business (let say 1 year) but reading and learning every day about it.
I'm happy to own a 1991 Datejust with champagne tapestry dial.

Coming back to the Sub, I would like some advice on whether it's real or fake. I tried to compare it to some pics and vids I saw on YouTube but I'm not as good as I should be in detecting the flaws.

Details of the watch:
Year: 2013 116610LN. Box and papers
First owner, bought in Morocco. Card shows date and place correctly.
Serviced in 2020 at Rolex boutique
Original invoice available, no pics received yet. The seller is not keen on sending it to me online.

I noticed the strange looking Rolex engraving on the bracelet that looks off. As well as the Rolex logo on top of the clasp. Am I correct?
What about the watch?

Greatly appreciate the help!

Anybody can post/upload an image directly to the site as long as it meets the size requirements of the file type.

Yes, links require not only 10 posts, but minimal time too. This protects the forum membership from potential url spam/scamming.

Theres a saying here "Buy the seller". In this case it seems like a very weak seller. What happens when the moneys sent and no watch appears? What recourse do you have? Your already showing the red flags. So Run, dont walk, run away from this! There is plenty of those models for sale on many trusted sellers forums right here. Why take the chance?

I'm familiar with the scope of the saying, we use it in Europe too.
I will never hand over money without being 300% sure the watch is legit. It triggered me and I wanted to check how real it is.
It would be a good lesson in what details are the most off and continue learning on the details you have to look for when buying a watch.

I get wary when sellers send you pictures of the same watch (supposedly) with different people holding it and different backgrounds.

Not to mention blurry, far away shots.

Common watch. Available everywhere. I would not buy off blurry pictures featuring different hands and backgrounds and things. Please.

Also one of the most "cloned" models. I am not sure this is real. Pics don't help. PASS
