Frédérique Constant- What are the opinions??

I understand that more “dedireable” brand names can be had for a bit more. But to get a new piece, Swiss made, warranty, with in house movement? It’s a tough act to beat.

And again, for me at least, it wouldn’t get a lot of wrist time. I tend to wear sport watches much more. Some feel they are acceptable with a suit or other formal occasions but I disagree with that. Lately I’m not in many formal occasions so it won’t get the wrist time.

I always liked the slimline moonphase (FC-705). It was a bargain for a manufacture moonphase, but why 42mm? Its just too big for a dress watch.



Then Citizen bought them and the next watch they made was a 39mm slimline moonphase (FC-703). They made (or claim to have made) an all new calibre for the 39mm version, but I can't help but think the cal 703 is just a cal 705 with a smaller retaining ring.



Either way, 39mm is the size it should have always been, so I bought one. Nothing else in their line up interests me, but the moonphase was a watch that I couldn't continue life without (you know how this disease we all have is).

Well here we go. I was ok with my current dress watch (RW Tocatto) until you posted this photo. Now I feel it’s my duty as a WIS to look into this and price one out

Would everyone consider this an upgrade over the RW?

As I mentioned above, I AM a Seiko fan, but never clicked with their dress watches, Not even the Grand Seiko offerings (which are far more expensive).

Lets face it: it boils down to what we like.

And I do continue to keep an eye on vintage stuff as well.
