Explorer II on a Tropic Sport strap -Yes or No?

Hi everyone,

I have just joined the forum and lost the morning reading some old posts, very enjoyable.
I have just had my Explorer II back after a full rebuild (very expensive trip to the swimming pool with the kids!) and I wanted to canvas opinions on my strap, "should I keep it on a tropic sport strap or go back to a black nato".
I personally think the tropic looks good but feels wrong (less authentic as i'm not sure if Explorer IIs or even Rolex were ever associated with tropic).

What do we all think?
Thanks

Yes! A Tropic strap was a option for a Rolex from the AD years ago I think it looks great.

Use anything you want. I haven't found anything the EX2 doesn't look good on, it's possibly the most versatile Rolex of all. Jeans, suit, boardwalk, boardroom, it always looks right.

Yes! I am falling for the Explorer II all over again. Put this ostrich leather on it on a lark and must say its stylin' beyond my expectations.
