I don't expect it'll sell as well as the 116610 so I'll wait for demand to cool down and get one discounted.

The 3 ADs I do business with have more requests for the YM and DJ than the 114060. 1 has 2 deposits for a SkyDweller and only 1 for the ND SubC whack has really shocked me. I don think it will come close to the sales of the 116610. I think it's a huge improvement over the 14060 as it was very dated IMHO but just don't see it being a huge seller but I'm sure it will sell ok but for the price I see no reason not to get the date model. In recent years I've been told the date model has outsold the ND model by a 3-4x as many units sold. I don't know this as fact just what the ADs I use have told me. It will be a hot seller at first but after those that await release get theirs I think it will sell less than the GMTII, SubC date, and ExpII. I could be off but I don't see it flying off the shelves. |

Has the 114060 EU MSRP already been published? I've heard about 6000 euros incl. 19% VAT for Germany, but I'm not sure if it's valid.

So I went to my AD on Sunday and was told the release date is now October. I said that I was surprised at that and left. Anyway I called Rolex UK yesterday and was told that 114060 is being released to dealers from middle to the end of July so we may get our watches sooner rather than later.

The new Sub-C ND is already available at some Rolex boutiques in the U.S., although in limited supply and tough to get because they're selling right away. I was told at the Rolex boutique in NYC, run by Wempe, I believe, that all boutiques around the world were supposed to get the new Sub-C NDs at the same time, but that doesn't sound as if it's true. The saleswoman told me they already sold all the new 114060s they got. Still loving mine after two weeks, although my 5512 is getting jealous.

I feel your pain! Every time I get close enough in my watch fund to pull the trigger, I either get laid-off at work or a tornado hits my house!

Great pic to illustrate the size difference between the two.
The 114060 looks a great deal larger than the 5512, both are great looking watches. Thanks swish77

Got one. It's super clean and perfectly balanced IMHO. I love it.
To me, it's a new version of the classic. Oh wait...that's actually exactly what it is. Lives up to all expectations.

Agreed! I got one, too, and love it for its chunkiness and symmetry. The Sub-C Date didn't really do it for me, but the ND version is a perfect modern update to the classic, original Submariner.

I ought to rename this thread to...
Incoming Just had phone call to say my first Rolex is in the store. Unopened and waiting for me. I am so happy. Will post updates as soon as I can on Saturday. Question is will I be the first in the UK? |

Nope, it hit the UK weeks ago and plenty of owners already, but don't let that rain on your parade! :-)
