Grrr.... RSC NYC quality control

I sent my explorer ii to the NYC service center for a routine service, but mostly because i wad unable to set the 24 hour hand. It would just stay stuck in place when would try to set the time. I described the problem in my note that I sent with the watch, and also described the problem while I was on the phone with service.

Well, I got the watch today exactly three weeks from when they received it, which I was quite happy about. It looks like it's brand new, but of course when I go to set the time it's doing the same thing! It's like they didn't even check that the watch was operating properly.

I have always had good experiences with this service center, but this is very disappointing. I figured they would catch something like this with their strict quality control. Oh well, they are paying for shipping and will make it right im sure, I was just really looking forward to some wrist time with my explorer.

Have a good day all

They shuld makit right.

Funny though, no matter how much comm you did with them it still got overlooked. Really poor service. All that - once - good service is gone down the tubes with one experience like this.

Especially with the prices they charge now

That's pretty bad, I really hope they will make it right for you. I have to agree though, it's quite frustrating to have the feeling that a company is ignoring the problems you have with their products...

I know this is maybe rudimentary, but is your crown in the proper position to move the 24 hour hand?

Closed - then unscrew to get to Position 1
Position 1 - used to manually wind your watch
Position 2 - Quickset, used to quickly move the hour hand as well as the date (24-Hour Hand doesn't move)
Position 3 - used to set the minute hand and 24-Hour Hand

For it to be "fully serviced" and come back with the same issue is unsettling to say the least...

RSC Dallas - too many complaints with NYC.

Search the threads.

Sorry to hear about your experience, I'm sure it's a frustrating experience. It's unacceptable service.

My thought exactly. Seems too bizarre for RSC to overlook.

But then again, Swatch put the wrong hands on my Blancpain when they replaced them and that got passed QC. Then they tried to say that they weren't available anymore. After much back and forth, they replaced them with the right ones.
