Damaged 1665 dial
I'm considering the purchase of a 1665 with some slight loss of paint to the lower edge of the dial. The watch is priced to reflect the damage. My question is can this be fixed? Can anyone recommend a watch repairer that could undertake this work in the uk?

NO NO NO never touch a dial ! Leaving it as is (even if it has a lot of signs or wear, and print coming off) is WAY better than refurbishing/reprinting/touching a dial ! Never do that. At least the dial will be an original Rolex damage dial still better than a reprinted dial on an original Rolex dial plate. (Plus those reprinted dials looks awful and I know what I am talking about).
Sometimes a rusted/use Rolex dial can give a plus to the watch and make it more attractive for some of us especially if the overhaul condition of the watch is good. Good luck. Could you please post up some pics to have an idea though |

MY does a nice job on repairing dials but unless the deal is really good I'd avoid a damaged dial
