Tips on buying a 1803!

I'm considering a few different options, and I would love some feedback and suggestions.

I have some questions though:
  1. 1. Does the language dial matter in terms of resell value?
  2. 2. Is linen / fat boy particularly unique? and what would be a reasonable price to pay for these?
  3. 3. How can I judge how worn a bracelet is? I see many side-view pictures illustrating the droop of the bracelet, but what should I settle for in terms of acceptable tolerances there?

Thanks very much for your input!

Oops, apparently the numbered list feature adds its own numbers. Sorry about the stutter ;)

I think the buyer would like to get the correct disc for the country,
he is living (so in this case a better resale value). I´m also looking for
a nice 1803 - but overall condition is for me much more important than the language of the day disc. These disc are easily obtainable and could be changed after buying the right watch (I would not pay more for a german date disc).
I like the fat boy and linen dials and (for me) harder to find in very good condition (specially good fatboy dials with a matching hand set!)

Good luck and greetings from Germany.

By the way, does anyone know what the current rate for a president bracelet restoration is?

I assume there is some variance depending on the degree of wear of the bracelet, but a slight indication would be spectacular.

Dunno about President repair but Michael Young just did a YG Jubilee for me, butcher's bill was over USD2K including two extra links at USD250 apiece. That was an AWFUL bracelet in the 'before' pics (just ask u/motoikkyu he saw the original listing) and now it's two links longer and essentially brand new, it is beautiful. But that was pretty darn expensive IMO.

He's done SS bracelets for me for a couple of hundred bucks apiece. He does great work. If ever I need another restored, I will go back to MY.

Thanks!

I'm just asking to try to judge how much the price should be influenced by bracelet quality. Seems like there are quite a lot of listings where the head is in great shape, but the bracelet is in need of tightening.

edit:
How much of a dealbreaker is the watch not being on a metal bracelet in terms of value?
I'm considering making an offer on this one: https://www.chrono24.no/rolex/1803-d...-id7588012.htm
since it has the wideboy dial and matching indicators. However, I'm unsure of how much is a fair discount since it isn't on a president bracelet. I know they sell of an awful lot separately...
