Rolex Enquiries

Hi all.

I'm new to the Rolex community.

Just wondering can anyone tell me how many different models there are in the "Rolex - Oyster Perpetual" category of watches? And how much the value differs from each.

I have one but don't know the exact model and can't seem to upload a picture sure to the size restrictions.

Thanks,

Niall.

Niall,

The variety of Oyster Perpetuals ("Oyster" is Rolex's patented case they use on most of their watches, "Perpetual" means automatic movement, likewise used on most Rolexes) and the price differential is the subject of decades of discussion and many thousands of pages in print, elsewhere, and right here. Members on this forum have lengthy exchanges regarding slight differences in condition and generation in particular models - what you're asking is a summary of all that. And Rolex has been making OPs for sixty years, and a million a year for decades now, in a wild variety of cases and dials.

Read about Rolex for a year and you'll have more questions at the end than you did at the beginning! But your current question is a bit like, "Could you just tell me everything about all the different kinds of German cars", you have to narrow it down a bit.

Best of luck eh

Thanks for your reply.

I realise now it's very hard answer with so little info. I will try again to upload a photo!

Looks like it's the 1012 model from further inspection
