Help on a trade
Would you trade a daytona ceramic 116500 white and a blnr both 2017 for a 2012 patek aquanaut 5167R rose gold?
Thank you in advance Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk |

I wouldn't. Just because it's a good deal value wise, doesn't mean it's worth it. You have two awesome, hard to come by pieces. I'm inclined to say, just add the 5167r to the collection without trades, but if something must go, then I'd let go of the BLNR and just add cash. Hope that helps.

thank you very much for the inputs, yeah unfortunately something must go. I was able to try the 5167R and it look stunning, now so tempted, but having a hard to time let go of my 116500 Daytona

I would not make that deal. Only way I would do that deal is if the 2watches you are giving up are never in your rotation.

If you have a lot of other watches and you want a 5167R then yes, otherwise no.

The 5167R is stunning and an underrated piece. I would not do the trade since you have two of the best modern Rolex pieces. I would only do the trade if you are bored and they are not getting wrist time.

Will you "baby" the 5167R because it is RG? With SS watches, most people don't care as much about scratches and can wear the watches freely. However some people tend to be overly cautious with watches in precious metal cases.
Personal choice, but I prefer SS sports watches and PM dress watches. So I would say no to the trade. |

Look good on paper, if you have to sell both 116500 & BLNR you would still come short of 5167R 2nd hand market if you can find one.
If is me, I would do it. IMO I think 5167R have more potential to go up in value. However at the end, you should go with what you like. Either way is good decision. |

It is a good deal for you but I still would not do it. Maybe if you can keep the daytona but otherwise I would not.

ty for the input guys. really so torn, on one hand my mind tells me this is a good return for the daytona and blnr and i have been craving for a patek. on the other hand, if i do this and regret it, i know i cannot buy back a daytona again unless i oay a high premium. ugh

I would flip the BLNR plus cash for the Patek. It will pair nicely with your Daytona.

This is true, values of both will come up short of the price of a used 5167r but the Daytona will be hard and expensive to replace so i'd perhaps try and let the BLNR go + cash I love my 5167r but not as my only watch... |

How about flip either the BLNR or Daytona and save some cash for a SS 5167?

I would let it rest for a week and then go back and try on the 67R and if it still sings to you, then I'd buy it. Choose the watch you love the most, not the Zeitgeist of that which holds value the best.

I would if I wanted the 5167. white 116500 is $19k and BLNR Is 9k, used 5167 is 30k? Seems close if the condition is right, but it’s not a killer deal.
