Daytona dial swap

Does anyone know if Rolex will do a dial swap for any in-catalog iteration? I’m wondering if I could purchase this model in RG as pictured and have them swap the dial out for the chocolate brown with black sub dial which is actually the model that I want. If so, does anyone know what the cost for that would be?

They used not to do this until it is time for a regular service. Also, Rolex will not open a watch which is working fine just for a dial swap while it is still under warranty.

5 years is the time period for ownership that has been repeated in the forum. Contact them and find out since things change and maybe, just maybe….

From what my AD said, you can’t swap dials sooner than 5 years since new.

They will swap it during a service once it hits 5 years. That is what has been portrayed and to stop guys trying to swap to hyped dials to make an immediate profit.

After 5 years of use and general service it shows you aint really a flipper and a real watch lover so they should allow you to do it. Also some after that time many ppl do desire a change up anyway so they should accommodate.

5 years + service + a dial that was an original option to that watch.

Just give them a friendly smile, a box of chocolates and the Rolex parts police will treat you just fine!

You have to wait until after the warranty is up. I call the RSC in Toronto about something similar a few weeks ago.

Just buy the dial off eBay and go to a local watch guy. I have a small box of dials and bezels. I can probably make 10 different models of subs just by changing the parts.

4 Daytona's in 1. I have the newer Chocolate dial reference. Love it!!

But I will say the Black dial/Champagne subdials is still one of the best Rolex has ever made. May buy one one day myself.

Perhaps not on a Daytona but they absolutely do on a brand new DJ31

Thats got nothing to do with a dial swap. And also NEVER go to the AD. Go to Rolex RSC directly.

Exactly. Some A D’s know little to nothing. If the non Arabic Chocolate is what you’re after I obviously approve

It’s one of my favorites. Love wearing this combo. RG, Black, and Chocolate look fantastic together
