Greetings all,

Please could you let me know if the Rolex watches with the new movement 3235 (Datejust 126300) has the Laser-Etched Crown?

Thank you very for your support.

The laser edge crown on the crystal has been there since 2001. The Datejust 41 with the 3235 movement was introduced by Rolex at 2016 Baselworld and at that moment they had no crown between Swiss Made. In 2018 Rolex started using the dials with the crown.

The laser etched crown is on the sapphire. I can pick it up with a loupe at a viewing angle of about forty five degrees. A bright light can help.

So would a 2017 Rolex Datejust 31mm not have it?. I just bought my wife a preowned one and can’t find it for the life of me no matter what tip and trick I follow.

The laser coronet is on all current OEM crystals. It is not easy to find because the focus point is midway in the glass, so any focus above or below will miss it.

If it is not there, the crystal may have been replaced with an aftermarket crystal.

It's all about health, happiness & family. The rest are just necessary inconveniences we have to deal with.
