Congrats! I’m a SubC Date owner and love it. The ceramic Submariners are interesting in that, once on wrist, the “wide lug” aesthetic isn’t really a thing (at least my opinion). They’re much better on wrist than any watch only photos could demonstrate.

Thanks. Since I have a Sub TT Bluesy already, I picked the no date one this time. In fact, the AD has a SS Sub Date, for me to consider as well at time of purchase.

I think Rolex is just temporally reducing allocation to Asian markets and rerouting. Just like imo they did when they rerouted watches from the Western markets to the hot Asian markets after the unpegging of the Euro from the Franc and Brexit. So as they say, they have been operating at full capacity it's just that they are messing with their allocations to each market imo.

Daytona this time!

Called/email around a few days ago for a Daytona SS/TT. One AD returned call yesterday for a TT White Dial. Paid a deposit by phone, and picked up today.

The salesperson said this was an order for another customer lived in another province. Due to travelling restriction, he don't have a schedule to come to p/u this beautiful watch. As a consequence, I become the lucky guy.

Doesn't want to take off from my wrist, even though I have Batgirl, Subs already. A beautiful gem to me.

A green service bag as a bonus.

My AD, whom I spend with continuously, keeps telling me they haven’t received anything from Rolex in months. Where do all other ADs get their shipments from?

Similar experience

I emailed the owner of a local store and randomly asked him if he had a 114060 last week. He said well actually just got one today and the first he got in awhile...fate!

Picked up My Root beer Friday

Been trying to get a Root beer for ages. Mid Covid I got the call. Was going to buy it tax free but couldn't handle the wait to travel so cracked and paid the GST so I could enjoy it. Picked it up on Friday. I love it.

Really want to post a picture but can't work out how to resize the thing on my tablet.

In chatting to the AD on Friday it struck me how lucky I had been. Supply in NZ is very very limited. A few of my wealthy clients are ahead of me on the ADs list so I was really lucky. I got our CEO to put a call into the AD owner and then politely called him every month until BOOM it landed. I think he just got sick of of me constantly calling him.
