Brand new Rolex Daytona 116518ln broken from the AD

Hi Guys,

New to the forum just bought my first Rolex, Daytona 116518ln which I’ve been waiting for two months. When my AD finally got it they shipped the watch to me and the watch didn’t work at all and thought I was doing something wrong. They told me to come in and we’ll check it out which I did the next day.

End result the watch is shot and they have to send it back to Rolex.

Now I am not sure what to do wait for another one which can’t take a very long time or it’s a sign not to get one at all? What you guys think I should do and do you think my AD will do anything for me for all the hassle or just get me a new watch?

What shocks me with the OP's statement is that he has only been waiting 2 months for a Daytona, I thought that the Daytona was the unobtainable watch?

Rolex will fix it and give you an additional 1 year warranty….of course you will have to wait 6 weeks.....You have to understand, all man made things go wrong sometimes...I had my ceramic Daytona for 1 year when it stopped wrking..it happens..not often but it does happen. Hence the warranty.

It will take far less time for service than it will take to source a brand new one.

Your call.

He's been waiting for an OF, not SS. PM OF Daytonas are not unobtainable.

I've heard of factory faults, this is the first time I've heard of one not working at all.
