I prefer the look of the oyster bracelet for a sports watch, such as the Sky Dweller, GMT, Explorer, etc., and the Jubilee bracelet for most dress watches. That said, I believe the newer oyster-style clasp on the current Jubilee looks klutzy and mismatched compared to the refined look of the older hidden clasp. Also, I'm aware of the differing opinions on whether the Sky Dweller is a sports watch.

I also asked for one on Oyster but when I finally got my blue last month, it was offered on Jubilee. I accepted it even though it was sight unseen. Now I have it I am loving it.

Interestingly Rolex is offering owners with the Oyster the ability to buy the Jubilee so I assume they will allow us Julbille owners to also buy an oyster bracelet. Not sure if they allow us to keep both and swap as we see fit. Does anyone have more information on this ?

I think its hard to go wrong adding a SKyD to ones collection, the way they nailed the complication yet did so with such simplicity makes it something quite special. Rolex really nailed it with the SkyD design. My G-Shock is way harder to set the time on than my SKyD is.

In regards to the weight comments, I can feel that 9001 movement as far as the head goes but not in a bad way, its got a nice heft to it. Not PM level heft, a nice heft all the same. Only downside for me now is I want one in full WG and they are not so easy to come across.

There has to be a right and wrong answer.....

Sky-dweller is not a sport watch.
Jubilee is more comfortable.
Jubilee matches the fluted bezel.
Rolex realised this was the way to go so released it on Jubilee.

I have a 116718 and 116503 on the Oyster. When I bought them there was no jubilee option. I have had the jubilee in the past.

I would get the jubilee. It better matches the fluted bezel. It wears more comfortably as it has five rows of links, instead of three, and gives better choice over fit, as the links are shorter. Lastly, the jubilee’s PCL’s show less scratches.

Yep, there is a right and wrong answer for you, me, Tom, Dick and Harry. Wear whatever floats your boat. I have a fluted DJ on oyster so I would opt for the jubilee on the SkyD if I ever got one. But which one????

I prefer the oyster bracelet almost always. For the steel blue Skydweller, I think the Jubilee looks better.

Thread re-birth... and agree with Steve.

The extra flex of the Jubilee makes it comfier. One could make the argument that a bit of bracelet 'slop' is more comfortable. And yes in this case the Jubilee looks better too, though nice to have both, ya know, just in case

I was very interested in this subject and ultimately stopped reading posts and reviews so I could decide myself without influence. I knew the oyster was the safe route, but loved pictures of the jubilee. I ended up going jubilee and wouldn’t look back at all. Took the leap and it was worth it.

I now have a blue on Jubilee. Visually, I don't think there is a right answer. I think the black SS goes best with Oyster and the blue SS looks better on Jubilee. I'm now more convinced than ever that my TT white should go on Jubilee.

The Oyster is a comfortable bracelet for a Sky dweller. The Jubilee is more comfortable still. I'm happy with either but for wearing comfort above all else, it's got to be the Jubilee for me.

I think it looks great on both. More so on Oyster.
If I were to get one I'd likely have both bracelets.

I just took my SD Oyster to RSC last week and they offered me an option to purchase the Jubilee bracelet.

Based on my past experience, I find the top is really heavy on Oyster and I am not sure if changing the band can make a difference.

I’ve owned and since sold both
The Oyster looks more modern imo while the jubilee looks so dated, think 1980s Datejust!
Ultimately I sold them both as I just found them too similar to the Datejust and not worth the extra money, the higher cost comes in to high horology brand level so ultimately couldn’t spend that amount on a mass produced “high street” product

As an owner of the jubilee bracelet - pick jubilee, imo it's the second best Rolex bracelet right after the president one.

I just ordered one, and it cost 2300$ CAD including 13% tax

Am since over 2 years on the waiting list for my white Rolesor blue faced with Oyster bracelet... I think I've made a mistake, Jubilee looks better on the Sky-D. Wanted to change it last week and called my AD. He said, that I can change the order, but I will join the waiting list again from the beginning and will lose my 2 years of waiting. I don't know what I should do actually.

You could stay on the waitlist for the oyster then add the jubilee later (if still allowed and it may take awhile).

I got a white SS model on oyster and have ordered a jubilee through my AD. It is on backorder, however.

Thank you, that sounds like the solution for me. If possible to do here in Switzerland.

I have been enjoying my Oyster Perpetual 39mm white 114300 for the last couple of years and today placed a pre-order for a Sky Dweller stainless steel with black dial, which I have also lusted after for a long time as I just think it is a physically and mechanically impressive watch with a fantastic complication. The Sky Dweller comes with the choice of an oyster or jubilee bracelet.

I ordered it with the oyster bracelet as I was thinking that it looks more discreet and less "bling", but I am wondering if I made the right choice or not so I please need some sense checking from you guys. I didn't have chance to try any on as they were not in stock.

Which bracelet do you prefer and why (please list pro's and con's)?

I was lucky enough to walk into a ROLEX AD and was offered the new 2023 Sky Dweller SS/18KY with the black dial and jubilee bracelet. As I have a few Subs and Daytonas all with the Oyster bracelet this was an opportunity to pick up a top ROLEX piece and add a black dial / gold combo to my collection. It definitely pops more along with the fluted bezel. What a great combo on the TT. Again it's a personal choice but for me it gave me the opportunity to add a dressier looking watch to my collection while still staying in the tool lane.

I have been wearing this watch for the past week and it is an amazing piece to admire from a technical point and of course an aesthetic view as well. Either bracelet is a win.
