Half link for new Explorer 124270?

I recently got a new 36mm Explorer (124270). I’ve tried every combination of microadjustment points, Easylink open/closed, and adding/removing one link from the bracelet. I can get very close to a good fit but not dead on. Also, unfortunately, the best fit so far is with the Easylink open, making it useless for its intended purpose.

Does a compatible half, quarter, or other partial link exist for this watch? I don’t care if it’s OEM— just looking for any way to further dial in the fit of this bracelet.

Thank you!

Same issue here, it's not too bad. But I'd still love to know if a half link option is possible. Have you tried getting in touch with your AD or RSC?

This is one thing holding me back from buying the new Explorer. I actually use two half links (one on the 6 o'clock and one on the 12 o'clock side) the get the perfect fit with my 214270 MKII. Without a half-link I fear I won't find the right fit with the new Explorer.

No idea if a 114060 sub C half link would work, but someone here may soon chime in

Thanks, all.

I haven’t yet tried my AD or RSC. Figured I’d ask the experts first. :)

Happily, I think I’ve now found a pretty good fit with a configuration I mistakenly neglected to try yesterday. Still curious if a partial link exists.

It doesn't, as far as I know.
I'd have liked my bracelet two mm tighter, but it's not possible.
I had a link put back on yesterday, but now it's a bit loose, on the tightest setting on the clasp.

I know that the sub half link will fit an explorer 214270 39mm bracelet

I did it on mine

Only half-link I see working is one intended for a 124200 (if it exists). Only other watch I know of that has the exact same taper at the clasp end as the 124270.

If you're desperate enough, you could always try ordering a 124200 clasp (unfortunately, no flip-lock), which is shorter, and add back a full link.

Same issue here. I assumed it came with half links but the lack of them means im having to wear it a tiny bit too tight. Feels weird that brands reserve the simplest, most useful features for their highest end models. You would think watches costing upwards of 5k would have good bracelet adjustment :-(

I don't own an OP34, but I don't believe it comes (or has) a half-link made for it. I'm also almost certain that the half link that come on ceramic Subs do NOT fit the Explorer 36 as the Sub's bracelet, and links, are wider.

Hello everyone! Any luck on the compatible half link search? I would also love to run a second half link on the 6 oclock side

Had the same issue with mine. My local AD was able to order a second half-link for me.

Half link for new Explorer 124270?

I also was thinking I’d chase a half link but I ended up just moving the clasp one link toward the 6 end ( moved the link to the half side )and it placed the clasp against my wrist in a way that added enough friction to allow it to wear well with the easy link closed.
Fwiw I prefer my 124270 to be a little looser than my MKII.
When I first out it on cold it’s slightly too loose but once it absorbed some warmth it stays in place perfectly above my wrist bone with room for exercise expansion of the wrist with an ice tight for for stability or a relaxed fit post exercise with the easy link open.

Short version of my post - experiment with moving the clasp around while you wait for a half link , you may get lucky like I did

There are no half links on the original bracelet, nor are there any available, specifically for this bracelet. I was able to get a good fit, by removing one full link from each side, leaving the easy link closed, and adjusting the position of the clasp end, opposite the easy link end. There are 3 positions, from which to choose. I do not know whether a half link from any other oyster bracelet would fit. RSC should know, though. As much as I love my silver OP, I find myself grabbing this one frequently.
