New Deepsea accuracy issues

Brought a James Cameron in May this year, accuracy was spot on, but then very gradually started losing time and it got increasingly worse, by August it had reached -4 seconds per day, which for me was a little too much.

Living in London I took it to RSC in Piccadilly and they regulated it, but the same happened again and four weeks later I was back at -4 seconds.

So today I retuned to RSC and they ran some tests, they agreed the piece was losing time again and the test showed low amplitude, after discussing the issue with the technician she thought the problem was a gear train issue and took the piece in for warranty repair, should take about two weeks.

Have to say RSC service is exceptional,... has anyone else had a similar issue with 3235 movement?

Got my DSSD in Feb, and it did start losing a little time. Went from -0.6 sec to -2 sec in about ten months - measured via timegrapher. Amplitude was around 216 as I recall. I figured that things will ‘break in’ a little and adjustments may be needed. At -2 sec, the accuracy is more than acceptable to me and I wouldn’t have anyone touch it until its due service.

If mine had stayed at -2 I'd be happy.... I'm sure RSC will sort it

Mines currently about -1 per day. Time will tell.

This is a known problem with 3235 models.
Yours is displaying the exact symptoms. Gradually running slower and slower, accompanied by low amplitude.

Mine was sent in for warranty, then the problem returned after they fixed it (8 months out) and now it has miraculously gone back to running perfect in the last 6 months or so.

Who knows what's going on, but I have been rewarded for being patience, it seems. I am blessed.

Good luck, it's a crappy feeling, I know.

That's very brave of you given the nature of the issue which plagues these new movements

If you haven’t found it yet, you might appreciate this thread:

Lot of chatter around this movement and performance; it’s interesting to follow and see what others are learning.
