Lots of SS Sports Availability...
So, in response to my other thread on allocation:
https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=565178 i decided to take a lunch hour trip to my two local ADs and even though i was expecting to see empty cases, they were actually pretty stocked from recent shipments. Both had: SubC No Date SubC Date GMT II LN GMT II BLNR Sea Dweller Deep Blue Explorer 214270 Milguass (all dials including discontinued black) Air King No Hulk, Sea Dweller, Sky Master (although they have all come in in recent shipments and were already spoken for...) I don't believe they'll do business over the phone if you aren't a previous customer, but if you are in the midwest and want to take a day trip, let me know... |

I'm in Milan Italy right now and zero SS subs, GMT's or Daytonas. Lots of PM though.

I think in the US, only the LVc and new issues are hard to get right now, all the others seem to be there still, but come Dec these could all be gone and not replenished is what we are hearing.

In Canada I've seen ND and Date Subs every now and then in display cases, they move quickly, but are replenished really often. LN GMT, Explorer I, Explorer II, Milgauss, Air King and DSSD are very common and always in stock.
This year, BLNR I've only seen the one time (I bought it), and haven't seen LV, SD43 or DSSD Blue in displays at all. |

Bluesy seems to be going up on grey market and
resale value as well.... what gives ? Availability, desirability or recent scarcity at AD’s. ? |

My AD is sold out of two tone submariners and only has 2 steel submariners left. They have stated that they are not getting anymore watches from Rolex for the rest of the year. Should make for an interesting holiday season. Apparently his understanding is that (obviously) demand has far outpaced supply and the allocated production from Rolex (which remained the same) has caused shortages that are slowly being seen even in the US now.

Plenty of SS models around here - Subs in particular. However, the LVc is gone everywhere and my favorite AD told me that their Rolex rep said that no more would be coming until February. I was able to get the last one of theirs, which should be here any day I hope.

Last week, the one Rolex AD in Washington DC (the district proper) had zero of any Submariner in stock. That struck me as unusual and seems consistent with the above comments on demand, allocations, etc.

Similarly, there is next to zero stock of popular SS models at ADs here. The list above would never make it into a display case here. If they arrived, they’d be straight out the door to VIPs on the waiting list

I live in Southern California and it has a ton of great AD's and I've only seen the hulk twice in the showcase and the BLNR once in the showcase and a SS daytona pre ceramic once. Never have I seen them again in any of the few AD's I visit. The big AD I go to and have a great relationship with told me they hold the high demand SS pieces for VIPs. I've bought three watches from them and so I was able to get the BLNR without an issue. The daytona C not so much lol. I was able to try it on but it was held for a client.

I live in a small-ish city in Canada and my AD has a Sub, Sub date, GMT2 LN. My AD said one guy was lined up to buy 3 BLNRs. Otherwise, they probably would have had a BLNR too and I would have probably bought it on the spot

The little AD in Ann Arbor had a nice selection of SS models when I bought my BLNR from them after just stopping by for a look. My AD in Loveland, OH has a very nice selection as well. And the AD in downtown Cincinnati is very well stocked. Pretty much any DJ you could want is there. No high demand stuff like SD43 or Sky Dwellers, though. The AD's here in OH/MI had more in stock than the 5th Ave Boutique in NYC I visited and the one in Chicago.

I was told a couple weeks ago in the Rolex boutique in Sydney that there was a two year wait list for the 114060, and they would only put me on the list if I bought another watch from them!
Needless to say I have made my purchases while on holidays os. |

My Local AD's supply today downtown Seattle
I was on another string about this. Consensus is it's ok to post so this photo is what was in the case this afternoon in sports watch section. More of some of them in the back of the store. I didn't inventory the rest.

Most major metro cities in US would have every SS model in stock except Daytona.

You mean except the one hidden in the back. Im starting to believe Rolex Is like DeBeers. Just like to create the illusion they are rare. I could have one tomorrow from a trusted seller so they come from Somewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think where you are and luck has apart to play, here in Vegas Wynn, Tourneau and Caesars were pretty empty on the SS Sport verity. But went to an off strip AD and they had:
2 Black GMTII’s Sub No Date Black Sub/Date DSSD D-Blue Bluesy - As well as others SS Sports you’d see elsewhere. They don’t do over the phone ordering but if you’re local or here visiting they have a good selection. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dropped by 2 AD's on my free time in the city, one of them Tourneau and their stock was pretty empty. Plenty DJ & OP, both EXP II, Exp I, Yachtmaster I (Blue) and II, 116613LN, DSSD. No SS Subs and GMTs
