rather unusual stone?

I saw this a while back... not quite what sure of the substance, I gather it is some kind of stone dial.

The T-Swiss-T seems odd, I thought most of these unusual stone dials were later rather than earlier.

Cannot quite decide if I like it.

Anyone have any idea??

thanks

doug

It looks like it could be labradorite, which is a feldspar mineral with irridescent properties.

I've long thought that the right piece would look spectacular in a DD, and wondered if it had ever been used.

Here is a pic of labradorite borrowed from the internet for comparison.
