16750 Fat Fours
When were the fat four bezels used on the 16750?

Maybe you should add a photo of the insert. I'm not sure sure what the "fat four" insert is and would like to know also.

It appears to be the typical font on the early 16750 inserts and more than likely a "red back." I'm still at a loss with the "fat four" reference. Where have you heard of the 16750 inserts referred to as the "fat four."

I'm no expert on this and hence the question - I saw someone make that refernece in an ad for a 16750. I'm familiar with "fat four" in reference to 16610LV - early bezels had a "fat four" and all later ones had a pointy four.
What is "red back"? |

It is called a "flat four" on the 16610LV. I've never heard that term, or the other one, used in any GMT bezel insert description.

From what I can see in the pic it's a "normal" RedBack FatFont insert, which I personally would date in the mid to end 70's.

A "red back" is an insert with a red back. Later inserts were blue on back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
