1665 inlay and pearl

Hi all.

I am the happy owner of a Seadweller ref 1665.
At some point the original pearl has been lost and replaced with a luminova pearl (prior to my posession).
I would really like to have a tritium pearl instead.
I have located a really nice tritium pearl that would match the tritium on the dial perfectly.
However it it from a newer inlay, most likely a 16610 or similar.
My question is if this will fit?

Best regards, Ryan

If your insert is a newer insert made for a sapphire model (16610), no, it will not fit your 1665.

Also a luminova pearl is bigger than the tritium pips that originally came on the fat font inlays. which means... they had to make the pip hole bigger to fit the luminova pearl.... which means... you can't fit the smaller tritium pip back into the original inlay..

All assumptions without actual pictures.

A pearl from a 16610 will not be the same as what originally came with your watch. That one has a metal surround that the lume sits in and clicks into the insert. Yours would have been a clear plastic with no metal and the trit lume inside.

Have a look at this. NOT MINE! :) But this is basically what you're looking for. Wont be cheap.

Thanks, pricey indeed and the next difficulty is even finding one...
This is the one I had been looking at but you are absolutely right about the metal ring on this inlay

And this is my 1665
