Never have, sorry can't help with that question.
I am curious though on how difficult it is to find an original NOS T-19/39?
I know the T127 (top hat), and the T116 for the GMT can be found with some search.

Many guys are using them. No one that I've talked with have any issues with the crystals.

I have used a lot of MY's t-19's. There are excellent choice as genuine t-19 super domes are next to impossible to find. Like it much better than a Rolex service plexi. Profile and clarity is very good.

No problems with cracking like the Clark's? What about passing a pressure test?

They work fine. Yes they pressure test fine. No they aren't prone to cracking.

But to be honest, you can have issues with Rolex crystals not fitting properly, cracking or issues with a pressure test. Proper fitment has a lot to do with the bezel retaining rings which can wear in time or affect fitment.

Quite right. I've seen my watchmaker try 2 sometimes 3 brand new Rolex crystals out of the bag, before finding a suitable/flaw free one. I tend to replace crystal retaining rings now almost as a matter of course. Theh are extremely wear prone and do play a large role in not only crystal fitment but bezel action as well.

It's getting tough. Try finding an original or even a correct aftermarket tropic 16. I have one in the draw and there it will stay until absolutely necessary to change.

The retainer ring can be sized in increments by using the Rolex Collet tool. It can widen or close the retainer ring. Its a dance but its how theyre supposed to be installed for both watertightness and bezel retention.
