Brilliance in retrospect...

Borrowed image...Just saw this on Instagram had to share it...
I think the grey strap amalgamates with the rose gold
aesthetics flawlessly...for many of us here it's gonna be a long
tedious wait until AP comes out with a regular production RG
bezel for the 44mm...

i really like the grey. I would put that on before the blue strap the SE also comes with.

That's a summer edition with a different color band

Yup it is the summer edition with a different combo as we all know. I would never pay over retail for any watch it is a matter of time there will be a regular production with different dial and strap combo. In the meanwhile we can keep procrastinating what AP future references will be available.

I saw one of the SEs again in my city this weekend. It was also on a grey strap and looked amazing. That said, this guy had already roughed it up pretty well, there were quite a few big dents on the bezel.

i also agree that a non ceramic bezel option is coming at some point for a regular 44. It just looks too good to be a one off.

If AP do produce a 44 full gold case watch with gold bezel it will be any cheaper than the SE was. At circa £40k (I can't recall precisely what I paid for mine) its not that much more than the regular RG44, so not inflated due to limited status.

i would guess it would be similarly priced as the current RG, maybe a bit higher due to the bezel. I doubt it would look like the SE though as that would upset a lot of people and make people hold off on future LE purchases if it was going to be a similar regular edition later.

I was initially offered usd 47.5k that's the retail price as soon as it got released. But obviously you have to see what the watch look likes in flesh before putting up a full despoit upfront. Right now it's hovering close to usd 55k if you look right but again each to its own I rather wait and buy close to retail or discount which is inevitable with perseverance on all brands or new releases.

Fair enough. I saw an SE advertised for £50k last week, can't remember where. Trouble is if they go up in value too much I might be reluctant to wear mine anymore!

That is a stunning pic, but I think far more are waiting for the ceramic on the 42s. The gold bezel looks wonderful but it will mark up easily and that's just not for me, I'm still precious about my Nautilus and that is way thinner.

That is my fav angle to view the 44, I just love all the contours and textures of the pushers and guards, just adds so much to the overall aesthetic, and if on a GP strap the red sides are nicely visible too.
