Patrizzi dial fresh from NYC

Hi Gents,
I want to share a picture I just made driving in NYC. It's my new to me zenith 16520 still with a sticker on the back! Okay it's not perfect with scratches here and there but getting it by giving up some pieces I swore I'd never flip, doesn't make me sad at all. In fact I'd say I am stoked to wear a Daytona of such uniqueness! Thanks for looking and I would be happy to make more pictures later to share with fellow Daytona enthusiasts.

My first very good watch was/is a Zenith Daytona I've got brand new from my godfather in 1999. I still have and wear it. I love seeing a daytona in the wild too. Congratulations man, you won't regret buying this beauty

Thanks for looking Gents! I appreciate the congratulations too because it's been a long, long time I've had out of house free time with good times with a friend (and made some new friends today in the Big Apple) while scoring a piece I was made genuinely happy finding and owning. Here's a front door-back at home shot I think catches the dial color better than in the car in NYC

I think this picture shows off the Patrizzi effect best. It really does add a vintage charm to the piece. Thanks for looking and I will try to make better photos soon.

I love it. How hard is it to read the sub dials with the darkened color?

Hi Match1969,
What is reason your scale in the bezel isn't in black anymore? Did polishing remove it? I plan to leave my Daytona unpolished when I send it out soon for service. I prefer to just have it ready to wear without worrying about adding more scratches. I'm torn a little if I will ask to have bracelet polished. It's in pretty good shape but for PCLs really show its former owners wearing.

Big Congrats!! I know the feeling of flipping a few watches that you said you would never get rid of for a Daytona. I recently did the same for a this beauty!!

As the guy who sold it to me said "nobody regrets getting a Daytona"

Congrats!!
I'm a huge Daytona fan, in fact I now have 4 of them.
I recently purchased the same watch as you.
Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it??
Thanks

Nice photos of your Daytonas Gentlemen! Wear in good health! Mine finally got posted to Rikki today and I miss it! Yes, I may have small reservations of letting go of watches I said I wouldn't ever rid myself of, but the genuine glee and satisfaction of getting the daytona overrides their loss.
