I see you are wearing a dress shirt. Can you tell me how the thickness effects how easily the cuff can go over the watch? Do you mind the cuff getting caught a lot more than other watches with thinner profiles?
I know, what are the chances! Whoever was first on the list probably isn't happy! I've worn it to work the past 3 days now, with different dress shirts and the cuffs quite easily clear the watch. The thicker profile does get some getting used to, I am still getting used to it but getting caught on the cuff isn't much of an issue, takes a second just to lift the cuff up over the watch.

Thanks for the reply. Looks really good. What size wrist if I can ask? I can't wait to try one of these on but will probably be late summer or fall before my AD gets a few in (I'm #3 on the list).

Congrats! I am in the same boat as you, I got a chance to get one at retail (no discount) and it does feel a bit big and heavy for me...I guess it will take a while to adapt.

That's great. Your photos show that it can look really good on a <7" wrist.

Counterpoint: anyone wearing this or any other sport Rolex for the first time will think its uncomfortable. Its a heavy bracelet watch with square defined edges throughout! It will take some time on wrist to get used to. Its a great tool watch and of course will look beefy on smaller wrists but that is all subjective to the wearer. As far as comfort, no Rolex bracelet will feel like a strap, instead after wearing for 3 weeks or so it will start to feel as a regular part of you, this is absolutely normal. BTW having the clasp closer to you keeps the watch head from rotating away from top of wrist. I don't subscribe to the center the clasp recommendation and have more links on the outside (side away from me) than on the inside. On the inside, I have enough links to wrap comfortably around the inside circumference of the wrist. JM2C YMMV

All the wrist shots look great and properly sized IMO.

Don't hate me for saying this, but looking at the pictures on your wrist, and then looking at the pictures of the sized watch on the table,.... I think it is too big for you. Now that being said, if you like it and you enjoy it, go for it. But if this is your first rolex, and it feels big to you too, and it is uncomfortable, don't let the hype surrounding this watch get to you. Sell it (at a good profit, potentially), and get a nice Sub that might be a much better fit for you.

Just sharing my 2 cents here.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Rusty old thread; my only comment on sizing is that in spite of this being a fashion watch it is still a saturated dive watch. If someone was wanting a saturated dive watch one would buy the watch because it does the job and not for how a fashionista says it looks on the wrist. Dive watches tend to be oversized due to the need for greater case strength needed.

That's the problem.

If wearing a watch that's somewhat pleasing to the eye then the Rolex would win hands down.
If I were actually using the watch for it's ultimate purpose, I would probably pass on the Rolex and go for a Plo Prof instead.

I can just imagine someone wearing in this in a boardroom filled with Subs.

My "Sub" is bigger than yours. (big grin and all)

awesome watch. Saw one on a guys wrist last night on way to Yankee game. Thought it would be weird to say something on a NYC subway. He caught me staring and pulled his jacket over it. I think it may be the perfect watch....other than the price. Wish it was like $8k
