Incoming 16710 Pepsi!
Hey guys!
Happy to have finally acquired a really pristine example of a 16710! I am convinced that this is THE perfect reference to own. I owned and loved the BLNR for a long time, and it in fact was my very first watch, however once I ventured the vintage market, I could not get past the size of the lugs and case on the BLNR. I gradually, slowly but surely, lost interest in wearing the BLNR, and sold it to my very close friend. I still think it is a beautiful watch nevertheless. I just couldn't look past the charm of the smaller cases as well as overall wearability. After buying a few more vintage watches, which I still enjoy and wear very often, I decided that I need one watch that will fit the best of both worlds. I loved the size and design of the old cases, however I needed to practicality of a modern watch. I wanted to be able to tell time at night, or not to stress about wearing my watch under the water (something I tend to wary of with vintage watches). Coupled with the fact that I am a Pilot, I figure the 16710 would be the best idea. My 1675 is more of a retired Pilot's watch now. After quite a bit of a hunt, I have found a full set and really stunning 16710. I will enjoy my older models when I am back from work, however this 16710 is likely the watch that will go to work with me everyday. Thanks for reading! Some pictures |

Nice watch! Having owned a 16710 as my only watch for the last year and a half, I can comfortably say it is the only one you'll need!

Totally agree. I just sold my BLNR and recently acquired a 16710 to replace it. No regrets. Love the more traditional/original case and dial design. Enjoy!

It's so difficult to come across such mint ones. I came across a mint 5 digit GMT coke when I was on holiday in wales at a jeweller selling it pre-owned. Wanted £8.5k box papers. Wife said no. Can't argue. Lol

Well done! Thanks for sharing, I find many friends/folks I talk watches with eventually come to the same conclusion(s) you have. You found yourself a beautiful/exceptional example and sounds like even though the condition is top notch, you'll be wearing it every day which is even better! CONGRATS!
