Then with all due respect, I strongly suggest you do not offer advice on fake spotting, because it seems you're easily fooled.

Edit: May I ask where you got the watch? If yours matches the OP's...

Advice wasn't offered, only observations.

Everyone wants to save a buck or a couple thousand: I just don’t get paying $5k for something if there’s a chance it’s fake when you could buy from a trusted seller or to go to crown and caliber and get something you know is genuine for $1k more. Makes no sense whatsoever, IMO.

So why don't you post the evidence requested? At the very least a link the the ebay listing you allegedly purchased this watch from.

And I think you need to make your mind up about something.

" i am not rich, and if i can save 1 or 2k USD i will. the 5 k i spent will not influence the live style of my family." If you are a normal person in Malasia, then 5k will influence the lifestyle of your family. If 5k has no effect on the lifestyle of your family, then you are rich and you can afford to pay the price for a proper watch. 5k is a big deal, even for most families in the USA.

You say that: "1 or 2 k saved will bring us joy." What difference will 1 or 2k make if 5k will not have any influence on your lifestyle?

If you are not a liar and a scammer, then please listen to this advice. Look after your family and don't throw thousands of $ away on luxury goods to feed your vanity.

Some might call that semantics, but OK - I strongly suggest you don't offer observations on the likelihood of a watch being counterfeit. This watch is so rank, most of us can smell it through the monitor.

There is a reason the pictures are so bad. If the pictures were rock solid and the watch looked good, i would still probably stay away. Issues like the clasp, even if legit, scream stolen. That’s a stolen off someones wrist type of break. The watch is no good as everyone has stated. i believe whoever said the OP was vetting it to sell was absolutely right.

OK. Here, I will note that the lighting in your picture is dreadful, and your bezel still looks a million times better than the one in OP's pic.

I would say that you have a genuine watch, but your glasses are fake.

Haha thank you both, i love your responses equally. Like i said at first his pictures seemed off. My point here, and part of the reasoning for my poor lighting, and to say that lighting plays a large part in the look of a watch. Not just color, but also a shadow can cause an endlink to look "off"...

i'm not saying his watch looks genuine or non-genuine. Just observations.

and i might add that i really love this watch and it was purchase on this forum.

Download TAPATALK apps on your smartphone or tablet/iPad. Then add TRF and others.

Oh well, if I were you I would take a video, from the moment before you actually have the package, when the delivery man hands it to you, and then with no cuts until you open the package and take the watch out and then take a high quality video of the watch. This will help to resolve any disputes that may occur.

Take the watch to an expert to have it examined as soon as possible.

If you are being honest about this, then I am really sorry you are having these troubles and I hope you get your money back soon.

Another option would simply be to size your own pics using Photoshop. A 1250 x 1250 pic, optimized for the web, with good lighting and optics, would be miles better than the earlier pics you posted.

You could also use a pic hosting website and link to your pics.

He should also take screen caps of the original listing. Showing that the watch in his possession matches the watch shown in the listing will help.

That is really cool, thanks for sharing that. In that case you should not have any trouble assessing the watch you get.

As you guys mentioned, wen I colect the watch fom UPS I will film the unpacking and inspect it there with my watchmaker loupe, I will determinate immediately if something is wrong during the filming.
Then back to the office for a close inspection and report to ebay if not OK.
2) go down to QC department, look at it with a high power microscope, Leica microscope x60.
3) thecnica office for some photo with microscope Nikon, will share the photo on the forum, no matter if the watch is original or not.
If necessary or not, we have an x-ray machine to determinate content of Cr, Ni, and so on, we have also an electron microscope, but this will not be necessary.
4) send it to Rolex for a quotation of he clasp, and see if it is reported stolen or fake, so that if necessary I have an official document for eBay.

Just to clarify, I have all this equipment NOT to produce fake watches, we produce high precision mechanical components, they are as precise as a watch component and are produced with incredible speed and tolerances of +/_ 0.002mm.

Always amazed

Why people purchase a watch....then ask if it is legit! Like buying a used car...then taking it to a mechanic for an inspection.
