Lucky enough to try these on at the Paris salon. Starting to do work in my next incoming, which will be a complication. Not sure which one, as the precious metal 5960 are no longer in production.

5170g for me too, without a doubt. I just prefer the design - it's one of my favourite Pateks. If I had one criticism it is that I personally do not like the pulsometric scale.

Biggest reason imho is the glorious movement of the 5170.

just look at it. look at the beautiful bright white dial with the breguet numerals. Look at the movement in the back of the case. No comparison. Classic and elegant. And i love the Dr reference on the dial also.
