Can’t get the new Sub?

Well I’m sure you can if you want to pay the premium or wait a good bit but I say no thanks as I’ve already got the best modern diver Rolex makes. SDK 4000 is pure perfection.

Perfect 40mm case
Slimmed Lugs
Matte dial

What’s not to love or want. Now would I buy the newer Sub personally even if offered at MSRP? I really don’t think I would. Every time I looked down at it I’d be reminded of this beauty.

Agreed. Love the SD4K. Sold mine 2 years ago and immediately regretted it. Bought one on August 31st when the rumour of the Sub 41 seemed to become reality. To me it's the perfect ceramic Rolex diver for the reasons you stated. It also feels a bit better balanced by being thicker while being slimmer. Also love that the bezel looks complete with all the notches. And I've tried the new 124060 and think it's borderline too big for me given the wider bracelet, dial and bezel.

Strongly prefer the date setup on it too. Not too big on the cyclops.

Why not. Everything else is

Who would’ve thought you’d ever see a premium on a OP? None of us. At least us vets in the game.

Agreed, the 116600 is near perfection. I took mine diving over the weekend and was reminded how much I love this Sea-Dweller.

Have to second the uniqueness of the 116600 great dimensions & limited. Will be with me for the next 10 years minimum.
