Rolex lady datejust 6917 restoration

Hello all,

My father passed away this week and in the middle of all this madness, I found my mother’s 6917 from the 70s which she thought was lost (she is not self sufficient and in need of care).

Since it’s in very bad shape, I would like to find a good restoration artist that could bring it back to its old glory possibly using the current parts and / or sourcing period correct ones.

I would like to surprise her with it once it’s ready as it was a present from dad.

Does anyone have someone to recommend in Europe preferably?

Thank you all in advance.

I’m including some pictures for reference.

Try for the bracelet “Goldschmiede Beste Winterberg” in Germany. They do an amazing job and I had them refurbish two president bracelets.
The highest quality refinishing bracelet job I have seen.

The movement I can recommend independent watchmakers “Wesselink Vreeker” in Alkmaar, Netherlands.
They may be able to source or make parts and do respect classics.
You could try any RSC as well.

Wish you good luck with your project. Awesome thing to do.

Very thoughtful gesture. Clearly, she did a good job raising you. ;-)

Not in Europe, but Ashton Tracey did an incredible job on my wife’s 6919, which needed a lot of work on the movement.

Can't wait to give her back a good memory, after all the recent sadness.
