I put my name in at my AD and he said it will probably be about 18 months wait. I am fine with it because it will be just in time for my 60 birthday.

I'm not expecting anything to happen anytime soon. I'm probably #875 on the Mayor's waitlist. One will turn up eventually and that day will be sweet

Unless Rolex is purposely holding production of the Daytona ceramic down and I cannot see any reason to do so as they are in the business of making and selling as many units as possible. Its not like its a completely new watch its just the old Daytona with a push fit ceramic bezel and slightly different dials both these items could be made many at a time.

My AD genuinely quoted a 25 year wait. I gave him a dirty look and then left.

Have seen the black and the white in grey dealers windows. The white did not have a price on it but the black was going for 16K which is ridiculous.

£16k sounds about right at the minute. Have you seen watch club in Mayfair have been knocking them out one after the other for £15k.
They currently have a white one for sale. the watch isn't for me, which I am glad about with the waits that are being quoted. I could have gone on a list at number 40 the other day. The AD said they are expected to get one of each every 12 months, so 20 years and that doesn't include the VIP customers who will no doubt add another 3-4 years onto that time. |
