How to change the strap on dayona with deployment clasp?
Can anyone walk me through (or show some pictures) of how you would go about replacing the leather strap on a Dayona WG Z series with the deployment clasp? I have read on this forum that any 20MM band should do but I have called a couple of local jewelers and none of them seem to know how to do it or if it can be done with anything other than the rolex replacement straps which are ridiculously overpriced. I apolgize if this has been dealt with in another post, but I haven't been able to find it. Thanks!

The end link on the leather strap model differs from the bracelet model in that the end link extends into a milled out groove under the bezel. This is done specifically to ensure only a) Rolex straps fit, and b) Only those in the know, with the correct tools can make the alteration.

Any 20mm strap can be fitted to the case...........However, the ends at the clasp are finished specifically to accept the attaching bars on the Rolex deployant clasp........ If you want to replace the strap, Rolex expects that you just remove/replace the leather pieces, retaining the clasp, and that you replace it with a Rolex style strap...
