Looks good and shouldn't have to be worn to go with your dress colors

If it is what you want and you like it enough then it is a day to day watch.

I saw a doctor wearing one at lunch and from about 20 meters the dial looked greyish green but in a cool way. Like the other poster said you have to experience it, it’s cool

the dial is just mesmerising and can change colour from dark grey to green depending on light conditions.

The LVc is my everyday watch just as the Bluesy was before it for 18 years. I like my Rolex to “pop” with some color. The green sunburst dial looks black inside under lower light so it’s not like it’s raging green everywhere all the time.

The Emerald Sub-I think very few comapare to the "pop and wow" factor at nearly any price.

I don't think it's that much less discreet than the black Submariner, and, in my opinion, it's a lot more interesting and fun. I don't have a black Sub, but I do have an Explorer. I was loving the Explorer for the few months I had it before my 116610LV came in. Since then, it just feels bland and doesn't sing to me anymore, and it's likely to be on its way out soon.

Additionally, I thought that having a green Rolex might be viewed as brash, but the opposite has been the case for me so far. I haven't had any comments from strangers -- strangers never seem to notice watches, in my case -- but I do have a few friends who aren't into watches but know that I am. They've given me hell about a few purchases before, but thought that the green Sub was really cool and fun.

Honesty, if you like it and want to wear it every day then you should. Life is WAY too short to care what others think about the color of your watch. I have so much more respect for people who beat to his/her own drum. Not to mention that so many fashion faux pas are dreadfully archaic and out of date.

If I had to chose only one sub, I would go ahead with the LV as it is a chameleon of sorts in different lifting conditions etc. It has versatile looks.

I think it’s a great everyday wear. But like one of the above posters said, it depends on how well YOU carry it off.

I bought it not intending it to be a daily and now I wear it more than anything else. As others have said, if not in direct sunlight it’s pretty discrete. Most people, myself included, tend to post pics of the LVc in it’s loudest state which probably leads people that don’t own it to believe that it always looks so green.

Here is a shot of my LVc sandwiched between my Sub and DJII in normal indoor lighting.

Here is an indirect sun pic....

And direct sun...

arm resting at side the dial becomes almost black or very dark green. Bring it up to check the time or date and it shines. For that reason you can pull it off as a daily especially now where bright colors that add some uniqueness are acceptable. 7 years ago you had a lot of forum members get green watch shamed when wearing the LVc. Do a search, its pretty funny. Now its the cool piece.

When I got mine I wore it 6 weeks straight without a problem. It can definitely be a daily wearer. This coming from someone who isn't THAT fond of green to start with.

the dial turns black on some angles. then sometimes look greyish. the watch looks amazing in different angles! im still waiting for one. wear it everyday! most people that would notice would be watch guys. i have to admit though, ive seen a few in the wild and it made me do a double take just because of the way the light reflects on the watch.

I had a similar post awhile back when I was considering the hulk for my next SS piece which will eventually become my only SS Rolex for a period of time.

The answer to this question will depend 100% on the wearer. For me, I have a flashy Rolex (116718) and decided I wanted my SS Rolex to be more subtile. I opted for a 116500 which I’ll be picking up this week from my AD :-)

Not sure why it wouldn’t work. If you wear it every day, it’s a daily watch. My guess is you didn’t buy it to be discrete.

OWG with 116610LV.
Its a terrific watch. Stunningly beautiful but never goes under the radar.
It's like a lighthouse sometimes. Which can be a little annoying to some degree, but I still love wearing it.
I use it to everything. Even when I work in heavy metal industries.

Have to agree I sometimes wonder with these types of posts why the hell did they buy the watch in question if it was not suitable for daily wear.

It is suitable for day to day, but don't expect it to be as versatile as a black one.

according to my observation, quit a lot of people buy Rolex for investment purpose, or at least for its value holding power.
