SD43 vs. Pelagos, size comparison.......

Anyone happen to have both an SD43 & a Tudor Pelagos?

Looking for side by side photo comparison of dial/case as viewed from above on a flat surface and separately, each one on the wrist also viewed from above.

Thanks

Thanks, but I believe the JC is bigger than a SD43.

Other than the thickness difference, JC is 44mm diamete, compared to the 43mm of the SD43. 1mm difference but should give you an idea
Crystal dome is different too

Great pics Rolly.

If it’s not too much trouble, can you do wrist shots whenever you have time?

Thanks again.

I have a Pelagos and am considering the SD43, so seeing side by side and wrist shot pics helps me to judge just how much, if any bigger the SD43 is.

I've tried them both on. IIRC the SD43 felt almost perfect in terms of proportions. The Pelagos was slightly bigger but much lighter. Liked the SD43 band better but the pleagos lume more.

Wow i'm surprised the Pelagos felt bigger.
The SD43 is certainly amongst the hottest watches of 2018

The SD43 wears remarkably well for a 'larger' watch. That said, the Pelagos is the most comfortable watch I own.

I am surprised by it too. I should look through some pictures. Those were my impressions though. The SD43 was like the perfect size and the Pelagos felt a bit bigger. I wonder if someone has used calipers on them I wouldn't be surprised if the SD43 is closer to 42MM. The pelagos wore a lot like a breitling GMT Avenger 2 which was 43mm which I wore in. The pelagos felt like a 44mm watch to me but a super light one as mentioned above. I also liked the feel of the titanium.

SD43:
- Slightly larger lug-to-lug but otherwise similar to Pelagos
- Case itself is not that thick but case back is thicker than other divers
- Much heavier than Pelagos! You'll get used to it
- Excellent proportions throughout
- Has a great feel to it and a few shiny parts that catch the light

Pelagos:
- Light enough to wear when being active (eg. mtn biking)
- Very understated
- Case is thicker than the SD43 but case back is flatter
- Comfortable, you'll forget it's there
- Wears smaller than SD43 although they are almost the same size

Just tried on Pelagos tonight for first time. One of the most amazing watch I have ever tried on ... here it is next to my SD43.
