[QUOTE=freefly;10135285]No. The warranty only applies to the original owner, as purchased from an AD. So, even if you purchase a "new" watch from a pre-owned dealer/flipper, complete with warranty card (filled out or not), they factory warranty will be void.
Is this new? I thought the warranty followed the watch, not the name on the card? |

Here in USA, the watch has the guarantee.
But several conditions apply. If other markets do not have consumer protections, perhaps the guarantee is limited to original owner. From the Rolex website: “Rolex guarantees the proper functioning of its watches for a period of five years from the date of purchase. The Rolex guarantee excludes normal wear-and-tear (notably the wear-and-tear of non-metal bracelets and straps), loss, theft, or damage due to misuse. The substitution of components with, or the addition of, components or accessories not manufactured by Rolex will invalidate the guarantee. The guarantee is valid only if (1) the watch has been sold by an Official Rolex Retailer; (2) the guarantee card has been completed in full by the Official Rolex Retailer at the time of purchase; and (3) the guarantee card is presented with the watch, either to an Official Rolex Retailer or to an Official Rolex Service Centre. Any work carried out by third parties will render the guarantee null and void.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I was simply going off of what an AD recently told me, as well as my recollection that some RSC's have either refused to service watches, and/or required additional info (bill of sale, receipt, etc.) when the name on the card differed from the name of the current owner. That may have only been an issue with specific RSC's though (NY comes to mind). Still, as 77T mentioned, the card has to be correctly filled out by an AD, dated / swiped (activated) at the time of original purchase, and present with any warranty work request. |

Looks real to me. I bet the jeweler stuck the green sticker on just to make it more appealing to the average joe one time submariner buyer. "see it even has the green sticker"
