Smurf - no longer can order

Was told by my AD the smurf can no longer be ordered.

If any of you are on the fence and your AD has one, don’t sleep.

Just wanted to share with fellow TRF’ers.

Maybe a new Smurf will appear at Basel. After all, the Smurf was the first of the new Subs many years ago.

Sounds like the WG BLRO, which was discontinued, to then come back with the new dial etc.

I think it could be a complete overhaul...case, movement and dial.

Whats the cost of the new Smurf if there's going to be one...?
$46 KK-a-roonies!

I'll keep my YG Smurf...

Riots and camp-outs at ADs would take place.

A friend had suggested maybe a blueberry- black dial blue bezel. Either option would be awesome!

It is a feature of Chrono24 if you set up a profile and add your watch collection.

On the rumor of the discontinuation, I could see them revamping the LB with a new movement since it seems like the next step after the new 126622 received it at Basel. Then it may trickle down to the SS Sub family in later releases.

When we were in NYC recently, just about the only sub that the ADs had in stock was the Smurf. So I wouldn't call it hard to get.

During a recent conversation with my AD they indicated that the Submariner range was going to get new movements, (the 3235 for the Sub date), and be relaunched at Basel 2020, don't know if other have heard this.

Just because an AD cannot "order" a watch does not mean it is discontinued. I would venture to say all professional models regardless of metal are likely allocated now. The AD receives what Rolex sends to them.

I was offered a nice discount on one ( 116618ln) last week from a Dallas Area AD. I passed as I picked up 7 new rolex models this summer. Figured I needed to pump the breaks.

Never happen. With the BRLO they changed the dial and bracelet. They can't do either with a Sub.

Its chrono24 “my watch collection”. You can add your watches, how much you paid/when purchased and it will track them against real-time market data they derive from their system. Pretty cool and quite accurate.
