That’s as classic a Date Just as it gets.
2 tone, champagne dial, 36mm, fluted bezel, on a Jubilee.
Perfection.

When the average civilian, (not WIS), thinks about Rolex, the Submariner or that Datejust is what they have in mind. It is THE classic Rolex. I personally love it. If your wrists are smaller than 7.5" it is the perfect size IMHO.

It does not have any investment potential. Better to get a Pepsi, panda Daytona or blue Skydweller

Huh? So he should only buy a watch for investment potential? Wow. This is the problem with the hobby these days. What happened to buying a watch you want to wear, enjoy and that makes you feel good. I don't get it.

It’s a classic. But most importantly, buy it only if you like it.

Thanks for all the input, it is marvellous to see some many are into the design and buying something you like opinion. I will be popping by the store to have a look at the watch tomorrow in person, lets see if I get it in the end :)

For what it is worth (which is nothing) my opinion is that if you have to ask, you don't want it. If you wanted it you would already be wearing it.

When you find the right watch you will not be able to resist, and other people's opinions (which are worthless in any case) will not matter to you.

I agree with both comments above.

This DateJust can go with everything, dress up or down.

Try it on and see how you like it, don't buy because it is available.

DateJust 36 or 41, it depends on your wrist size. 36 is classic but some people with wrist size bigger than 6.5" might preferred 41.
