15400 rose w/ blue dial - good buy?

Hey guys,

I’ve been looking for a rose gold AP for my next piece (currently have a SS ROC with blue dial).

I’ve tried the discontinued offshore 44mm (rose gold with ceramic bezel and rubber strap) which was gorgeous, but I also have an opertunity to buy a 15400 rose gold with blue dial.

I have difficulties with making my choice. What would be the most logic buy at this moment?

The 44mm is discontinued but there is a new version of it now. So people can still get a near identical watch if they want to. Also there seems to be quite a few selling the discontinued watch if I check chrono... Meaning that there is a good chance I can buy this watch lets say a year from now.

On the other hand the royal oak 15400 rose gold with blue dial is discontinued and there is no replacement in the new collection, it seems to also be hard to get and might not depreciate in the near future, or might even go up if it gets to be more desirable. So it could be hard to get in the future or it will be higher priced than it is now. ($44.5k)

What are your thoughts?
