Opinions on Armand Nicolet

I am currently looking at a couple of Armand Nicolet watches and was hoping to get some input on the brand. I have just began my research, and would be most appreciative of any opinions, or information on the brand. Thanks!

Italian based company, some nice looking designs
but nothing special.
They do not hold resale nor are they sought by collectors.
Nice wearable watches I guess, similar to Raymond Weil in
that aspect.
Spend a little more, get a better brand (Rolex, Omega, heck even Grand Seiko)
and get a watch which will hold a stronger value and be easier to move if
you bore of it.

It is complete and utter junk. Supposed 'complications' built on platforms that are not meant to support them. My partners and I bought out an Armand Nicolet closeout package worth about $500k, sold it off, and are still servicing them. About one of every 5 watches we have sold has some sort of an issue, ranging from functions not working to the clasp not closing. Many of the watches we have seen come back for repair more than once. If a proprietary part goes bad - good luck getting it from AN. Anything we sent them for warranty work was deemed as 'damaged as a result of mis-use' and not covered, so we had to pay put of pocket. Armand Nicolet is a nightmare wrapped in a pretty looking package.

Sorry for the bluntness, hopefully it'll save you some headache. If you still choose to waste your money on it, why don't I suggest a few charities, it'll go to a much better use.

For roughly the same money though, you can own a pre-owned Omega or Ball. Money much better spent.
