AP strap stitching

Was curious about this. I'm looking into getting a royal oak chrono in a precious metal. I've been looking up pictures of the rose gold version and see that some of the models have contrast stitching and some don't. Is this a sign of production year or some other thing I'm not aware of? I have attached two pics to show what I mean. You can see this especially from the back. If the stitching matches the backside it contrasts the front. If it contrasts the back it blends in on the front.

I think it depends on what dial you choose,
Newer "Panda" dials Brown leather with matching stitching.
Classic dial Brown leather with white sticking.

Here's a pick from the General catalogue.

good info thanks Thomas. Here is another shot of the same watch in the first pic with matching stitching. Im guessing that they just switched out the strap themself.

The gold RO and ROO look best with the rubber clad strap IMO. Both look great. I have a aftermarket yellow rubber strap on order for my bumblebee.

Could it be that the rose gold have matching stitching? Mine certainly does.
