Only the 5711 Tiffany blue was sold for charity there. Then people got carried away. At high-profile auctions such as that one standard watches have been sold substantially above market including fees in the past.

No worries, I was just about to make that exact point to the poster above. Watch price increases are real, and they are not confined to the PP Nautilus, with plenty of other very high prices at the same auction. I don't accept the proposition that "everyone got carried away" for the entire auction.

The prices on Chrono are the highest I have ever seen ... there is one piece available for approx £127K. The next cheapest is almost £147K. This is absolute madness. I can almost swap LFL for a 5270p!

Which model Patek, Rolex, VC, AP, is not currently at the highest prices you’ve ever seen?

Interesting thing is that prices in the US look much higher than UK for a few Nauts I have seen, when historically UK was always first with the price rises after the Brexit bump.

The prices I'm seeing from reliable sellers are higher than that, at least in the US market.

I guess you’ll still find nobody who really would give you a 5270p for a Nautilus but I might be wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What a difference a couple of months makes on the 5712.

All of them are going silly. 5726 on leather ask is >$120k.
What they ask and what they get are two v different things. I could list my tiny house for $20m - it won’t sell though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I generally agree with this thinking. And when looking at a place like Chrono24, I think that is definitely the case. But when the prices here are going up, I think its a more accurate way to assess the market. I have been offered way above what I would have thought for my 5711 from dealers who will inevitably mark it up well above what they pay me. My guess is that in that sandbox of buyers, its unlikely I could get what they would and a buyer would want a reputable gray they have used before and/or known to a place like TRF. Takuya has a 5711 listed for 201K, so why wouldn't a 5712 fetch same or more? Seems accurate.

I was very sceptical on the 5712 sale price, until one of the users on here posted a link to actual auction sold prices.
