Rolex 1655
So my father has owned a Rolex explorer II 1655 since about 1985 when he purchased it from a pawn shop. He has worn it everyday damn near since then. It has been cleaned and had the crystal replaced a couple of times but still has the original dial and hands, but from what I can tell a different band. The rear plate has an inscription dated 1972 from what I can only assume is the original owner having received it as a gift. My question is if you owned it would you wear it everyday? It will be mine someday and honestly I can't imagine not wearing it. Then again I would love to be able to give this watch to my children someday.

As long as it is properly serviced and you are not wearing it on a physically intensive activity every day like on a construction site then for sure wear it every day.

Can not understand those kind of questions!
Watches are built for wearing them and enjoying them! I probably would not take the watch for diving, swimming or sauna, but just tell me 1 reason why not to wear the watch every day!? Is there any fun in getting it and putting it in the safe? No!!! So just wear it, have fun and give it to your child one day! Best regards Sebastian |

Steve I agree. Jogging yes... Jackhammer at a construction site no. Sounds like a great watch. Enjoy.

Nice piece! Think the guys have summed it up - a service and maybe a clean up and off you go! Maybe even a replacement bracelet? Enjoy and good luck!
