Beautiful, congrats. I hope to get one one day too. It’s just tough to know where to start, with all the mods and fakes out there.

Yes, I understand the concern! I wanted to buy from a trusted seller with a lot of experience in vintage.

With these high value watches, i think the key is to hook up with a real trusted pro ( like the OP did with JP) or with one of the trusted vintage rolex dealers out there. I guess we all have our favourites

As you say, there is too much money at stake now to go blundering off on ones own if you dont have the encyclopaedic knowledge required

Very much agree. If you're not a leading expert in the (mine)field, pay the premium for somebody who is. Gotta pay to play.
