Quick question here

Quick question here!

I'm finally (after 3 failed attempts) found a watch in a really good condition. It is 16570 with 3186. It is from 2011 , alphanumeric. Full set.
What do you think?
Lugs are sharp, looks never polished to me (seller says that they polished the bracelet a little bit)

P.S just double checking before pulling the trigger :)

Looks nice and clean. What are the black dots on the bottom right lug?

He said it was just dirty. And sent me photo lug without that black dot.

For $12,000 i'd pass. You're paying too much money for this watch.

Oh you didn't mention the price, so how would we know if this is a thumbs up or down?

Are you a wee fella? You don't like the 6 digit reference 42mm?

The Explorer 2 is sort of the red headed step child. The $ has everything to do with it.

At $12,000 USD, I'd walk way.
At $3,500, I'd take it in a heart beat.

What are you specifically asking? "Is it a good deal?" Obviously, it's in good shape.

If you are asking if its a good deal, it would help to know what the seller is asking for it.

Why $12,000?? The much rarer cream dial version is closer to that price point. These babies should be going for no more than $8k these days.

Is it me, or is the alignment of the bezel off? Looks skewed counter-clockwise (12 is not centered with the end link).

I claim 0% expertise on this, but are you sure that is a 2011 model? Something seems off to me with the clasp (in terms of year offered). I would love be to hear from someone else on that.

Mine is a bit older in black but see the way the bezel lines up. The top looks the same but the bottom on your watch seems misaligned to the right. This could be simply a different iteration of the bezels. The watch appears to be in great condition.

As someone who has spent a considerable amount of time with one, I'd say that the condition of this piece is excellent. Even the bracelet is tight. Chamfer thickness is spot on. If you are happy with the price, I would buy it.

Full sets on these have been pushing 7 lately so it's an ok price assuming the full set is all present and correct.

Whoa! Is that only for the engraved rehaut versions, or even non-engraved rehauts with the 3186?

As far as I know all 3186 models have engraved rehauts, but I could be wrong. From mid Z serial onwards as I recall.

Not the case...I have a z serial without engraved rehaut, and with the 3186. Maybe it's even more rare lol...

Engraved rrr and 3186 beginning with late M serial. Correct me if I’m wrong

As I said above, I have a Z serial (which pre-dates M serial) without an engraved rehaut and with the 3186.

Edit: just added pics.
