Where to get vintage day/date repaired?

from what i know at the moment it is a 1972 day/date. i do not want rolex to repair it. so far i have found two places. watch shop birmingham, and houston gold exchange. has anyone had dealings with either shop? any other recommendations? thank you.

Either same as above, or Ds Time service in San Diego. He fixed up my 16750 very well and is very knowledgeable about vintage stuff. I live in TN now and moved from San Diego probably 8 years ago now, but I still send them to him. I really trust Tom and his workmanship.

Or like I said like above with the Ridley’s they both have a great reputation and I have discussed some vintage repairs with Philip before and based off our conversations I would feel very comfortable sending watches to him as well.

Rik Dietel at Time Care Inc. is near your neck of the woods - in Florida. CW-21 watchmaker and has been well regarded for late vintage work.

thank you for the responses. yesterday morningTundra gave me a few suggesitons. i spoke with philip ridley, and decided to go with him. once i get the watch back from rolex. i took it to local authorized dealer "repair" center and they sent it off, but then i told them not to let rolex do any work and get it back. just waiting now. thanks again.
