Leather Strap Suggestions

Good afternoon gentleman. I rarely post but read often and enjoy the input and opinions here. I have a 1601 DJ that as of late hasn't gotten any wrist time for whatever the reason might be. I'm planning to put a black leather alligator strap on it and rotate it more often. Its a two tone watch with black dial, I feel like its only correct to go with a black strap. What is a good site or source to find a quality strap ?

HODINKEE makes some good ones. As insufferable as they can be editorially at times, their modern vintage aesthetic vibes with me.

I have a strap on order from Combat Strap - https://www.combat-straps.com/ I ordered the Horween leather for my CHNR. I fellow member posted a pic a couple weeks ago and loved the combo. Will be sure to post when I get it.

Check this out: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=754615

The horween leather with the end links and the white stitching. Can't wait to get it.

Brown or tan can also work nicely with a black dial DJ

I recommend John Glance (Dangerous9straps). I just received one made by him a few weeks ago and I posted a thread:

Your case size being smaller, I think a teju lizard strap will look very smart. Check him out!

You can pay stupid money for watch straps but in the real world no better than the ones from brands like Hirsch.

True. Same can be said for the watch itself lol. Why get a Rolex when a timex does the trick? The answer: to each their own.

WatchGecko makes some really nice, handmade leather straps. I have a Chocolate brown Italian leather strap. The strap is thick, and really good quality.
