LEICA SL2 & Leica 16-36MM SL VARIO Lens

Beautiful. Such an amazing kit!

Still loving my M10-P and Q... But...

... I just got my M10 Monochrom with a very special Leitz Wetzlar 35mm lux limited edition lens on Monday!

I specialize in B&W and this camera is blowing my mind.

The Ms are lovely camera and lens system. My fave lens was the 35 lux asph v1. Such a nice render from what it captured

Zoom lenses aren't my thing. Much rather a prime. Saying they I'm a bit slow at focusing mf with my eyes so I since moved to an A9 and some Batis lenses, which can keep up with our puppy without problems!

Great photos, and wonderful to see a camera being used as intended, not just stashed away as a trophy

What???

How long will you let the SL2 sit before you open it and take one snap? Just curious, and I mean this is a light hearted way.

I've been wondering the same!

To each their own, but why keep it boxed up? I'm not a Leica guy; is this a "safe queen" type of thing?

I personally don't believe in safe queens in general, so just curious. No harm intended!

I opened and setup the SL2 this am and took a single picture with it of my office but the FILE is HUGE and unable to post it here. When I can figure out how to resize snaps on my MACBOOK Pro , I will post it here..

V1 is a beautiful lens. They all are and each produce a signature. Focusing on an M system takes a ton of practice. I find zone focusing to be my best friend. And the newer gen M with focus peeking helps too. The EVF changes the game.

Haha. The EVF is helpful depending on the shot and position. I use it 50% of the time. Just enable LV and the second you place your eye up against it it’ll trigger.

Thanks, Adam. There’s a lot of enjoyment when you actually use the gear. Mush like watches. Better in the wrist than hidden away from the elements.

Very nice pictures.

Leicas are beautiful tools that I only used once. They just didn't work with my way of shooting and what I needed. They sort of stayed with the street photography/photojournalist people.

Now that BreguetRolex has an excess of Leicas, I look forward to him pedaling over to my house and dropping a few off, so they don't get jammed up from lack of use. (You can keep the boxes)

Thanks, Blansky. I only do street work now. So the M suits that well. I’m a really big Nikon fan as well and when I had been shooting other work years ago that was my go to. Nikon produces some absolutely incredible lenses.

Have you decided yet to break out some of your goodies??

I keep threatening to.

Been driving and motorcycling around wine country a ton lately and keep thinking, damn, I should take some pictures.

My 24 inch printer sitting there staring at me, unused in 4 years.

You can do it, Blansky. I dare you!

I literally just cleaned my printer that was sitting for about the same time as yours. It’s an absolute miracle it’s alive. I thought it was time to send it to the recycler. Haha.
