Submariner ND

New to the forum and am amazed of the wealth of knowledge and how helpful this forum is.

Looking to purchase a new Submariner ND in the next two months. Speaking with a local AD there is a new updated Submariner ND model coming out in the next couple of months with a higher price.

My question is how do you think this new model will effect the price of the existing one. Stay the same or will the price go down?

Do you think a new "old style" be hard to find?

Thanks

If there is a 'new" Sub to be introduced in Basel this year, it won't hit the stores till late 3rd/4th qtr.

This "new" 14060M stuff is amazing I would hate if they changed it but it seems with this much "chatter" it must be true

Well one thing for sure is at least you know the sales person at your AD is full of it as nobody knows what Rolex will release except Rolex- so we won't know until Basel where they debut.

The truth doesn't get more concise than that.

That is sort of what I thought also, seemed like they were trying to convince me to purchase the "last" one they had in stock before the new model came in at a higher price.

Regardless of what Rolex does with the new ND sub, the old one if purchased right (around $5k from AD), won't lose a penny IMO

Welcome to the Forum, to answer your question if a new one does come out it won't affect the price of the older new ones...as the price of a new one will stay the same!!!

Thank you everyone, it looks like the price for a new one at a AD is around $6200...someone mentioned $5,000 from AD, Is that possible?

12 months ago, the best price I could get on a V serial ND Sub was $5k at Royal Maui Jewelers in San Diego at Mission Valley Mall. I didn't buy it, but instead go my wife a SD for the same $5k in Oregon (no tax).

12 months ago was before a $600 or so price increase.. So thing $5500 now at a ad .. I am going to take a stab at a new 116610 and lay $6800 on the table and see if he takes it.. If you go to a ad in new York and have it shipped to nj then you will save on the taxes.. Maybee if we go to my ad in ny together We can get a better deal on 2..

I bought my 14060M last December, new, random ser # from Canadian AD for a shade over $5 K. There was talk, just talk of the new one being Ceramic. If it is I think it will spike the price on the current one. Just my 2 cents.....
