Beautiful! What insert is that? Just faded to brown or something else?

Its just been heat treated. Otherwise standard Rolex issue.

Did you heat treat it yourself? How does one go about doing this? Does the insert go in an oven? I'm curious! Looks great

Am I allowed to bump my own question? I would love to know the process the insert went through to get such a beautiful brown.

Cool pictures!
To answer the guy asking about how to change color like that, an oven is used on a carefully watched low heat. Risk is melting of pearl. And please dont do this and try to pass as otherwise (meaning naturally changed color) for if you do it and sell the bezel, or watch the bezel's on.

Sorry - I didn't see the question and now it's been answered. Well, aside from the fact that I don't know why anyone would leave the pearl in the insert

Some original pearls will be lucky to survive removal process (high chance to crack due to age) and can be left in to tolerate heat needed to change bezel color. One just needs to reapply cement to back of pearl when out of oven.
I tried the method myself once with success. But after I artificially altered the color of bezel, it was not easy for me to pass on as anything but, and I ended up giving the insert away to my friend. I have no clue what he did with it, but I hope its not out in the world being passed off as natural age fade.

THAT WOULD BE A CRIME, trying to pass it as naturally faded insert. Hey, there's fool born every minute. I've seen them buying these artificial tropical inserts for big bucks left and right over the VRF. The way to tell them from the naturally aged ones are the fonts have also turned yellowish due to the high heat, and the back also turned "brown" as well.

Baking or chemically fade and insert for one's own enjoyment is OK, but trying to make a quick buck doing so is

Very nice shot of your watch as always
